Abstract

Logistics providers are increasingly faced with the challenges of social and environmental context of their businesses. Companies that offer wide range of services must take into account various influences they have on different groups of their stakeholders. The necessity to address non-economic sphere is the result of both growing needs and  expectations of consumers as well as governmental and international regulations, which aim to more efficient resource management in the wide aspects of sustainable development and social responsibility. Reporting on social and environmental issues is a sign of organizational maturity and willingness to disclose important information from the perspective of the company as well as its environment . The paper will present examples of actions taken by enterprises, in the area of management of emission and emission of CO2 particularly, which are communicated in non-financial reports.
