Reviewing Process:

Articles are subject to the following reviewing process:

Only the manuscripts that are compatible with the profile of the Journal and the ones that meet all the editorial requirements are qualified for further processing. If the text fulfils academic criteria it will be handed over to two independent reviewers from the list published on the Journal’s website. If the article does not fulfil academic criteria it will be sent back to the author within four weeks, with possible suggestions concerning necessary modifications that would allow to submit the article again.

The Editorial Committee appoints two independent reviewers. The reviewers are under obligation to sign a declaration on the absence of conflict of interest.
In case the article has been written in English or any other conference working language, at least one of the reviewers should be affiliated to a foreign institution of the national status different from the author’s.

Authors and reviewers do not know each other (double-blind review process).

The surnames of the reviewers of a particular article are not revealed.

There is a special form (to download from Bookmark ‘Review form’) to write the review in. In the assessment of the article the following criteria are taken into consideration:

compatibility of the article with the profile of the Journal;
originality of the contents;
contribution of the article to the discipline concerned;
correctness of the contents.

Reviews are in written form and contain an unambiguous decision whether to accept the article or reject it. When one review is positive and the other negative the article is sent to a third reviewer whose conclusion is final.

Reviews are the basis for the final decision of the Editorial Committee to accept the article for publication of reject it. The resolutions of the Committee may take the following forms:

the article is witout fault and qualifies for publication;
the article requires a few small corrections, and after making them it qualifies for publication;
the article requires big corrections and before qualifying the article for publication it has to be reviewed again;
the article does not qualify for publication.

When the reviewers have some reservations, the authors are requested to take such reservations into consideration in their new version of the article and to attach a declaration of the fact.

When the authors have not taken the reviewers’ reservations into consideration, the former are requested to take a stance – in written form – on those reservations and explain the reasons of ignoring them.
