Road transport is the most commonly used mode of transport for commercial movement of people and goods. Despite the considerable fragmentation of the Polish road transport companies this industry maintains a dominant economic position by working out more than 6.5% of national GDP. The internal EU regulations, within which the Polish road transport companies operate, allow the effective competition on the Community transport market. Since 2002, in accordance with the requirements of the European Union remains in Poland licensing the commercial transport. Obtain a certificate of professional competence of road carriers is one of the conditions for obtaining a license. In our country is ITS certification unit. From 2002 to 2011 Institute has a large (over 100 thousand people records database) containing information about labor market carriers. Therefore, on the basis of the statistics and their analysis it’s possible draw a series of proposals for commercial road transport (population, age, level of knowledge and many others). Furthermore the results of analyses were presented.
