Abstract

The subject of behavioral economics became in recent years more and more widely known, significant increase in interest took place in 2017 after the award of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for research in this field. The paper presents areas of economic research in the field of behavioral economics has been applied. A review of the literature has been carried out, areas controversial have been indicated not only in the environment of theory researchers, but also among people outside the scientific circle. Examples of unreasonable behaviors from the point of view of classical principles of economic theory, both on the part of the consumer and the producer, have been indicated.
