Abstract

There are different and opposite concepts of the relations between economic condition and innovation discussed in the literature: creative destruction, creative accumulation and independence both phenomenon. Authors argue in terms of significant what is more important. Poland is much lower developed country then their western neighbors. This means, that those phenomenon can be different for our country. The main aim of the paper is to search directions and strengths of the impact economic condition on innovation activity, on the different aggregation level, in Polish industrial manufacture system. The research was based on questionnaire and was calculated for 5209 and 6284 manufacturing enterprises. Author showed single independent probit models describing impact of the economic condition in macro, meso and micro scale on innovation activity in years 2008–2012 and 2013–2017. Main conclusion of the research is that the economic condition’s influence has got the important but different impact on technological change. It depends on an aggregation level of the research. The manufacture system in Poland is in middle term (five years) inflexible for innovation activity.
