Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of changes in the HDI and its four components for 42 European countries in 2010–2015. These components cover the three basic spheres of life: health, education and income. The aim of the analysis was to answer the question: do the changes in the HDI components in the analysis period are similar for all European countries, and if not, could the groups of countries with similar rates of change be identified? The statististical data used in the study came from the Human Development Reports. The calculations were made in the Statistica 12 software.
