Abstract

In scientific discourse, it is assumed that innovations are the key to success and building of long-term competitive advantage. In practice, however, the enterprises approach cautiously to innovation and even with a great deal of mistrust and scepticism. It is pointed out that such action is burdened with a significant risk, requires considerable financial outlays and large human resources with appropriate qualifications and skills, communication and information exchange with the environment, access to new technologies and knowledge generated by scientific institutions. These factors are often treated as barriers to the development of innovation. They have different features and effects on the tendency towards the company innovation. Diversified approach to the assessment of individual factors contributed to the formulation of the paper objective. Thus, the paper presents the identification and determination of the individual variable interaction impact on the companies’ attitude to the issue of innovation.
