Abstract

The social changes and the development of information and communication technologies have forced the public sector organizations to search for new opportunities to improve decision- -making in public services. The purpose of the article is to present two concepts, used mainly in the private sector, which are also likely to bring rational benefits in management of the public sector. Those are the paradigms of: Service-Dominant Logic (SDL) and Open Innovation. The possibilities and limitations of the implementation of both approachesin Polish conditions were shown based on the example of the Local Action Groups. They represent a kind of a territorial partnership typically created in rural areas. They consist of both public and private partners and must by definition include representatives of various socio-economic sectors.
