Abstract

Literary comparative studies and the history of ideas The history of ideas still occupies important space in contemporary literary research. The authors of the articles presented in this issue of the Comparative Yearbook interpret the long duration of individual literary themes and traditions as well as propose reflection on the relationship between the language of literature and other areas of humanistic knowledge. Some of the authors also tackle editorial issues connected with the perception of particular ideas. Along with selected categories of contemporary humanistic discourse (gender and religion), traditions of historical and literary periodization play important roles in their discussions.
