Abstrakt

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba oceny wpływu technologii teleinformacyjnych, a w szcze- gólności systemów zarządzania flotą, na kierowców zawodowych w międzynarodowym drogowym transporcie towarów na terenie Unii Europejskiej. Działając w silnie konkurencyjnym środowisku oraz doświadczając postępującego deficytu kadr, branża stara się w coraz bardziej powszechny spo- sób wykorzystywać monitoring technologiczny pracowników, aby zwiększyć ich produktywność i obniżyć koszty operacyjne. Pomimo bezsprzecznych korzyści w różnych obszarach stopniowo zauważalne są również negatywne aspekty takiej strategii, które częściowo neutralizują osiągane efekty.
