Abstract
The aim of the article is to examine the impact of the European Union law (former Community Law) on the transport compulsory insurance in Poland. The essay contains the attempt of answering the question about the scope and the methods of this impact. The author analyzes not only the areas of the regulations, but also the instruments used by the EU. In the end the author concludes, that the unification attempts on the law of the members of the European Union refers to this kind of the transport compulsory insurance, where are unified the carrier’s liability regimes. The much less impact occurs in regulations of the general rules of the transport compulsory insurance, especially in the relations between state’s laws or the legal entities within the territory of the Union.
