Abstract
The aim of the article is to present the results of research on the role of seaports and integrated logistics centers in the management processes the flow of cargo in Europe are transported in intermodal system, including combined. For this study was made the synthesis of issues related to intermodal transport and combined in Europe, which allowed to indicate the distinguishing features of this system of freight transport. Was also conducted an analysis regarding range of services for cargo, means of transport and intermodal transport units (ITU) in seaports and integrated logistics centers. Using collected during the research information on for seaports and logistics centers were analyzed their tasks in the area of the creation of the efficiency of cargo flows in the processes of supply. The results of the study showed that the system of European network for seaports and integrated logistics centers affecting the development of a single European transport area affects both on the development of efficiency of cargo flows in Europe. In turn their range of services for cargo, means of transport and ITU is a component of processes flow optimization goods in the supply chain network system by contributing to the creation of value-added logistics the processes in supply and distribution.
