Abstract
The article concerns the issue of release of the thing sold in relationship between the seller and the buyer by entrusting the thing to the carrier. The special nature of this kind of release is stressed. The author focuses on the problem of passing the risk of accidental loss or damage to the thing. The author indicates a difference in relationship between the trader and consumers. The said risk passes to the consumer when he has acquired the physical possession of the thing. This also applies if the buyer who is a consumer arranges a transportation of a thing sold but the seller has an impact on the choice of a carrier.
