Abstrakt

W ostatnich 15 latach idea mobilnej edukacji (m-learning) zyskała na znaczeniu: począwszy od mniejszych projektów, skończywszy na dużych projektach dotyczących infrastruktury m-learningowej w obszarze wyższej edukacji. Rezultaty tych projektów wskazują, że mobilne technologie tworzą nowe możliwości w zakresie uczenia się wykraczającego poza tradycyjny wzorzec aktywności klasowej, kierowanej przez nauczyciela. W artykule znajdują się odniesienia do edukacyjnego znaczenia mobilności i kontekstu istotnych z punktu widzenia m-learningu. Główne założenia prezentowanego artykułu zawarte są w następującej formule: mobilne technologie są wyzwaniem dla transmisyjnego modelu nauczania w edukacji wyższej, sprzyjają zindywidualizowanemu uczeniu się oraz komunikacji i współpracy zachodzącej między studentami reprezentującymi pokolenie cyfrowe a nauczycielami.
