History of the journal

The Opuscula Sociologica journal is a continuation of the former University of Szczecin Scientific Papers Studia Sociologica issued in the years 1990-2011. The founder and first scientific editor of Studia Sociologica was professor Ludwik Janiszewski. The next editors in chief were: Jacek Leoński (1998-2006), Leszek Gołdyka (2007-2015) and Irena Machaj (2016-2017).

In 2012 Studia Sociologica, which used to be annals, were transformed into the Opuscula Sociologica journal, first functioning as a semi-annual (2012), and since 2013 - as a quarterly.

The journal went the way from the local scale formula presenting mainly the achievements of Szczecin researchers, to the nationwide journal.
