Abstract

In the article, with the use of literature on talent management and preliminary results of empirical research, the issue of organizational aspects of shaping the career of talented employees was presented. The research included 78 Polish companies. The data illustrating the considerations come from empirical research conducted in 2017 in CUE. The objective of the research was to diagnose the specific character of the human resources function of the organizations in terms of shaping the careers of employees who are considered talented. The prepared questionnaire was addressed and filled in by HR managers and experts from the HR areas. The results showed a declared (high) value of talents for organizations and a relatively low level of diversifying tasks and solutions aiming at shaping the careers of talented employees.
