Abstrakt
This article applies to consideration around the category of value in Marx’s theory, the subjective-marginal mainstream, ordoliberal theory and contemporary economic thought. Its purpose is to analyze the interpretation of value as the basic economic category and to put attention to the nature and sources of it. Each of the presented theories were looking for sources of value in different ways. It shows the wealth of achievements of economic thought and the specifics of each mentioned directions
