Abstrakt
The purpose of the paper is to determine the extent of the problem of child labor in the modern world and the search for factors that have an impact on reducing this phenomenon. The research hypothesis is the claim that empirical research on the issue of child labor helps better understand why children work, what would be the consequences of this work and how to reduce the problem. The paper defines the concept of child labor and describes how the system of national accounts recognizes it. The next part of the study presents basic statistics of the issue. The paper ends with discussion of the impact of three factors on the problem of child labor: regulations of the minimum working age, financial situation and the globalization process (liberalization trade policy)
