Abstract
The main goal of the article is characteristic of tourism, registered in the database of accommodation located within the subregions of Poland in 2014, with special consideration of border subregions. In the analysis were used indicators of the development of tourism, which allowed us to define the role of the analyzed subregions in the development of the tourism sector in Poland. In addition, a study of spatial diversity of tourist attractiveness was conducted and created the ranking of the analyzed subregions. For this purpose was used the position taxonomic measure of the development based on the Weber’s median. Translated by Iwona Bąk
