Abstract
Growing popularity of studies on entrepreneurship makes GEM reports more and more popular source of entrepreneurship data. In this paper GEM data is used to show the overall picture of entrepreneurship in Poland. Major problems encountered when handling GEM data are also discussed. This critical analysis should lead to a better usage of the above mentioned data and to elimination of its interpretation flaws.
