(The Issue of Destination Management Organizations' Financing - the Example of The Local Structures)

Abstract

The article presented the issue of financing destination management organizations on the exam¬ple of the local structures. The introductory part discussed theoretical aspects concerning the analyzed organizations with the particular emphasis placed on local DMOs. Furthermore, po¬tential possibilities of financing local DMOs were indicated. Based on the available scientific publications and the author’s own research a detailed presentation of the participation of parti¬cular funds in financing the discussed entities was provided. The conducted analysis indicated a broad range of potential financing sources for the analyzed organizations, On the other hand, it was proved that these entities predominantly gain the funds from public sources. This pheno¬menon is characteristic of the majority of the organizations.
